Newsletter subscriptions

When Buttondown is connected and you subscribe, BASIS SciMag sends your email address and request IP address to Buttondown for confirmation and abuse prevention. The site does not write a second copy of your address to a local database.

A subscription begins only after double opt-in confirmation. Every email provides unsubscribe and subscription-management controls.

Technical logs

The hosting platform may process short-lived request logs needed to deliver the site, diagnose errors, and protect the service. This first release does not add advertising trackers or behavioral analytics.

Sanity Studio

The embedded Studio is an editorial tool protected by Sanity authentication. Public readers do not need an account, and Studio routes are excluded from search indexing.
