BASIS SciMag

About BASIS SciMag

A student science desk built around evidence.

BASIS SciMag gives students a durable place to explain biology, ecology, genetics, neuroscience, and scientific methods with the care those subjects deserve. We publish for curious readers, not only specialists, and treat accuracy, attribution, and revision as part of the design.

Editorial principlesHow we work

Read the evidence level

We distinguish a result in cells, model organisms, observational data, and clinical research rather than flattening them into one kind of proof.

Make uncertainty visible

Limitations and open questions belong in the story. They are how readers see where science can move next.

Credit every visual

Captions explain what an image shows, who made it, and whether it is documentary, diagrammatic, or illustrative.

Edit for understanding

Technical language stays when it carries meaning; otherwise we translate it without removing the mechanism.

Write, illustrate, observe

Contribute to the desk.

Students can contribute reported explainers, interviews, visual essays, field notes, or careful reviews of a method. A real submission address will appear here only after it is configured in site settings.
